Tushima "Tammy" Goswami Rauch
Studio Owner / Regular Teacher
Tammy, born in Calcutta, India was living with her family in New York City and moved to Vienna in 2008.
In Spring 2006, under the personal and direct teachings of
Bikram Choudhury, she completed teacher training and became a
certified Bikram Yoga teacher.
Since then, she has taught classes at the international
Headquarters' studio in Los Angeles where Bikram Choudhury is
also teaching classes.
She was also teaching in New York City, Chicago, Kentucky, San
Diego and internationally in Hamburg, Berlin and Vienna.
Tammy studied and worked as a Physical Therapist in New York City, NY. Although she had a wide range of patients her focus was on
treating sports injuries and children with disability.

"The first time I did Bikram Yoga was at the
“Lower East Side” studio in Manhattan. I knew it was exactly
what I had been looking for! It was very different and
challenging and I loved the Yoga right away, especially how it
made me feel when I finished the class.
Working as a therapist I immediately saw the medical
benefits in a steady practice. I endorsed it openly and gave the
Yoga to all my clients as therapeutic exercises. They all benefited
greatly and are still practicing Bikram Yoga today!
Bikram, it's just so good for you... it's not only a Yoga practice but a way of life to radiant health!"

Alex Lackner
Regular Teacher
Half-Austrian/Half-Hungarian, Alex has practised or tried out just about any sport you can imagine. By the age of 18, he had already been part of ice hockey, soccer, tennis & baseball teams on a competitional level. At age 22 he worked as a windsurfing instructor in Greece, and aged 25 he successfully completed the Vienna City Marathon. 2005 he graduated from medical school with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and has since been confronted with „junkyard bodies & screw-loose brains“ on a daily basis. In April 2009 he found himself in his first Bikram Yoga class, which turned out to be a lifechanging experience and turned his life around once again. Unfulfilled by standard treatment methods, he took a 6-month sabbatical from his job to enroll in Bikram’s 2011 Teacher Training in Los Angeles, followed up with a journey through the Western US, including first teaching experiences in San Francisco, Phoenix & Portland. Aside from teaching & practising yoga, Alex loves rock music, spicy food and spending time in the Great Outdoors.

“I‘ve always enjoyed the stretching part of sports, but as most people, i didn’t really practise it with enough vigour. I was instantly fascinated by Bikram Yoga, on a personal as well as on a professional level, since it’s not only an uncompromised workout but also an effective therepeutic method. At the same time, it‘s so much more than just a workout – where medical science stops, Yoga Science begins. If you start practising Yoga, you’re embarking on a fascinating journey to discover yourself and realize your full potential.”

“After my second class I was convinced by Bikram Yoga. It was exactly what I was looking for. It helped me to find myself and cope with many things in a more relaxed way. It amazes me over and over again how fulfilling every Bikram Yoga class can be. I am very glad that teaching Bikram Yoga gives me the chance to share my passion and love for Bikram Yoga”
Susanne Wastl
Regular Teacher
Susanne was born in Vienna, is 26 years old and studies business law at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. She graduated from teacher training in Los Angeles in spring 2011.

“About 3 years ago I tried Bikram Yoga the first time together with a friend of mine. I did not know anything about Bikram Yoga, not even how hot it was. My first class was aweful. I was on the floor a lot and felt very dizzy, but I came back and a few weeks later I came almost every day, feeling great afterwards, getting almost addicted. I had not done any sports before (for such a long time) and was not very flexible, also had a lot of back pain due to long sitting at university and at school. I felt Bikram Yoga changing my body. What I achieved after just a short time was incredible. My back pain was gone and I could not only touch the floor with my finger tips but also lost a few kilos. :) As a yoga teacher I can finally show students how helpful Bikram Yoga can be. Because of the amazing benefits also my mum started Bikram Yoga and is now a regular student.”
